The availability of city parks and recreational activities is a vital part of the health
and happiness of our community! The mission of the City of London Parks and Recreation Department is to preserve, manage, and enhance public
lands and natural resources and to develop programs for recreation and learning.
We are proud to provide the community a wide variety of recreational programming
and services. The department continues to revise and expand program offerings in response to the needs and interests of the residents of London.

Along with newly renovated, accessible and inclusive playground equipment, Cowling Park located in downtown London, offers a gazebo and shelter house. Both are available to rent on an hourly basis.
The Park Avenue basketball and skate park is a popular place for youth to gather.
Merri-Mac Park located south of downtown is home to several baseball fields and host adult softball leagues throughout the summer. The park is also home to our Community Gardens that are available for rent starting in May.
The Dog Park also known as the "Yelp Yard" is our newest addition and caters to both small and large dogs. Sizes are separated into 2 groups and have shelter and water and plenty of room to run and play.

The London Municipal Pool is located at 205 Park Avenue in London. The aquatic facility was built in 1939, and includes a main swimming pool, diving well, baby pool, handicapped pool, and an adults only racing pool. In 2020, a new Splash Pad was added to the facility.
The water is clean, the staff is friendly and the patrons are great! We offer 5 pools and a splash pad and can accommodate any age group that visits our facility.
The pool will open for the season
May 29th, 2021 and close August 17th, 2021.
Daily admission is currently $5 per person and $3 per person after 5pm.

Gov. DeWine declared that on June 2, 2021, all COVID-19 health orders will be lifted. This allows the City to be able to rent our park facilities! If you want to schedule an event to take place after June 2, call the City Administration at 740-852-3243 to save the date. If you've planned an event and are hoping to use the "first-come,
first-served" rule, please know that those who have scheduled and paid for the time will be given priority.
The Community Center is home to our youth sports leagues offered throughout the year in the gymnasium.
The gymnasium offers basketball teams/leagues an opportunity to utilize up to six basketball hoops (or one full-sized court) and volleyball teams/leagues the opportunity to showcase two courts at the same time.
