South Oak Street Shooting


(London, Ohio; June 27, 2021)

On Sunday June 27, 2021 at approximately 02:41 am, officers responded to a shooting on S Oak St near W 2nd St. Upon


arrival officers discovered an adult male that had been shot with a small caliber weapon. The victim, a 38 year old male London resident, was treated and transported by London Fire/EMS medics to a Columbus area hospital where he was in stable condition with gunshot wounds to his legs. The preliminary investigation revealed the victim and others were involved in a dispute at a nearby liquor establishment and the suspect confronted the victim as he was leaving the area on foot.


After further investigation, a warrant was obtained for Felonious Assault for Frankie D. (Daezhar) Dent, 38, 228 E 1st St. He was arrested around 10am this morning at his residence without incident. He is being held in the Tri-County Jail, pending arraignment in Madison County Municipal Court.
