Please note that the Sanitation Department is experiencing collection delays this week.

-If your trash/recycling was scheduled for pickup yesterday and was not collected, please leave your cans at the curb. Our crews are running behind and will complete the route.

-To ensure all collections are completed promptly, trash and recycling will be picked up together for the remainder of this week.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

The city has entered into a contract with Dynegy Energy Services to participate in an electric aggregation program. This partnership allows the city to secure an electric generation rate for residents and small businesses as a collective, often resulting in a lower and more stable rate than individuals might achieve on their own. Residents have recently been sent a letter from Dynegy Energy Services detailing the new supply rate and the program terms. No action is required to remain in the program and receive the new rate. However, if you prefer to select your own electric supplier, the letter explains the process to opt out of the aggregation program. Please note that regardless of your choice, your electric service and billing will continue to be handled by First Energy; only the supply rate will change..

To help improve the conditions of our sidewalks, we are partnering with Citylogix (formerly StreetScan). Citylogix employs scooter mounted sensing technologies to assess the sidewalk conditions. The systems determine the health of each sidewalk and identify defects, including surface distortions, and cracking. This data will help the municipality to identify and prioritize needed repairs.
They will begin working tomorrow, October 22nd, and are expected to continue for a few weeks. If you have any questions or comments please contact us at 740-852-3243.
