Due to todays severe weather, the city of London is opening the sanitation transfer station this weekned to help you dispose of storm debris safely and quickly.
Here is what you need to know before you go:
-HOURS OF OPERATION
Friday, August 14th. 12pm-4pm
Saturday, August 15th. 7am-12pm
-ACEPTED ITEMS
Tree branches, leaves, or other organic yard debris from today's storm.
-RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS
Bring your current MidOhio WSD bill. You MUST show your bill to prove city of London residency.
ABSOLUTELY NO COMMERCIAL DUMPING OR CONTRACTORS ACCEPTED.
Please drive safely and secure your loads while traveling to the sanitation transfer station.

Every five years, Council must apply to the Madison County Board of Elections to renew the City's Levy to maintain the general operating budget.
The first piece of legislation requires the Madison County Auditor to certify the total current tax valuation of the City before we can proceed with the second piece of legislation, which submits the question to the voters for the November ballot. If you have any questions, please reach out to the Auditor's office or the Law Director's office.
The first meeting will be held this Monday evening, July 27th at 6:30 PM. The second meeting will be held on Thursday, July 30th at 6:30 PM, contingent upon the legislation passing on Monday.

Due to an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 275 the City of London has made the decision to close the city pool. At this level, air pollution poses significant health risks for everyone, especially children, older adults, and individuals with respiratory or heart conditions.
The safety of our community is our top priority. Strenuous outdoor exertion in this air can lead to serious health issues. We will continue to monitor the conditions and provide updates regarding when it is safe to resume normal pool activities.

Sergeant Cooper is deeply rooted in the London community, bringing over 20 years of dedicated law enforcement experience to this role—all served right here within the London Police Division. Rising through the ranks from Patrol Officer to Sergeant of the Patrol and Investigations divisions, he has spent his entire career protecting and serving our residents. As he prepares to take the helm, Sergeant Cooper’s vision for the department is firmly centered on transparency, accountability, and a profound commitment to community-oriented policing.
