Public Service Notice: Pool Closure
EFFECTIVE: Immediately
STATUS: All outdoor swimming, lessons, and facility operations are closed.
Due to an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 275 the City of London has made the decision to close the city pool. At this level, air pollution poses significant health risks for everyone, especially children, older adults, and individuals with respiratory or heart conditions.
The safety of our community is our top priority. Strenuous outdoor exertion in this air can lead to serious health issues. We will continue to monitor the conditions and provide updates regarding when it is safe to resume normal pool activities.
Please monitor the City of London Website or our social media channels for reopening updates. You can track real-time air quality in our area at AirNow.gov.

The City of London is proud to announce that Sergeant Donovan Cooper has been selected as our next Chief of Police, effective August 8th. Sergeant Cooper is deeply rooted in the London community, bringing over 20 years of dedicated law enforcement experience to this role—all served right here within the London Police Division. Rising through the ranks from Patrol Officer to Sergeant of the Patrol and Investigations divisions, he has spent his entire career protecting and serving our residents. As he prepares to take the helm, Sergeant Cooper’s vision for the department is firmly centered on transparency, accountability, and a profound commitment to community-oriented policing.

As a reminder: the track and playing surface at Bowlus Field will be closed to the public and attendees coming out to enjoy the fireworks should remain in designated spectator areas.
